South Australian oil and gas giant Santos is cutting 200 jobs, citing delays in growth activities and slow project approvals as reasons. The majority of the impacted roles are based in the company's Perth office. Santos conducted a review of certain business units over recent months due to late-life assets nearing closure and related decommissioning activities, as well as new project approvals taking longer than anticipated. The 200 positions to be eliminated include contractors and are largely Perth-based employees.
