Prince Harry's memoir Spare, selling over 700,000 copies, failed to win any awards at the British Book Awards, losing to a puzzle book and memoirs of a former MP. Despite its UK bestseller status, Spare was beaten in every category it was nominated for, including Book of the Year, which went to Murdle by GT Karber, and Non-Fiction Narrative, which was won by Rory Stewart's Politics On The Edge.
