Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma praised Google's latest AI search upgrades, including multimodal capabilities that enable users to ask questions via smartphones' cameras, microphones, and text for real-time answers. Google's Gemini model, built for Google Search, allows AI to perform planning and research before presenting search results. The multimodal capabilities were revealed at Google I/O 2024 and have been compared to those of AI models from OpenAI.
