Mortal Kombat 2, the sequel to the 2021 film, has been given an official release date of October 24, 2025. Directed by Simon McQuoid and written by Jeremy Slater, the movie will see the return of many original cast members, including Lewis Tan, Jessica McNamee, Tadanobu Asano, Mehcad Brooks, and Ludi Lin. Newcomers to the franchise include Karl Urban as Johnny Cage and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana.
