Mets designate infielder Joey Wendle and pitcher Yohan Ramirez for assignment, call up infielder Mark Vientos and left-handed pitcher Joey Lucchesi from Triple-A Syracuse. Wendle, signed in Nov 2022, struggled with a .222 batting average, while Ramirez had a 6.75 ERA. Lucchesi has a 2.58 ERA in seven starts for Syracuse this season, and Vientos has hit .284/.376/.500 with six home runs in Triple-A.
