Madhya Pradesh man discovers fraudulent GST registration using his PAN and Aadhaar details.
Madhya Pradesh man, Chandan Soni, alleges unidentified individuals used his PAN and Aadhaar card details to create a fraudulent GST number, which was then used to establish a private company with a falsely reported annual turnover exceeding Rs 9 crore. Delhi Police's Economic Offences Wing registered an FIR under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code after Soni's complaint. The fraudulent activity was discovered by Soni while filing his ITR on July 20, 2022.
