Kuala Lumpur police chief, Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa, identified a business dispute as the motive behind the May 9 firebombing of an entertainment center on Jalan Yap Kwan Seng. Preliminary investigations following six arrests revealed the attack was due to disagreement in business, with no known connection to secret societies. Two of the arrested suspects are also being investigated for rioting in a public place using offensive weapons under Section 148 of the Penal Code.
