Compass Group reports 21% increase in pre-tax profits, driven by office workers returning to work.
Catering giant Compass Group reported a surge in revenues and profit, driven in part by workers returning to the office on Monday. Pre-tax profits rose by 21% to $1.2bn (£1.03bn) in the six months leading up to March 31, with its office canteen division and the "continued return to office trend" being credited as part of the factors fuelling the rise. Monday is now equalling Thursdays in office attendance.
