China supports punishing serious international crimes to maintain peace and security, according to Dai Bing, China's deputy permanent representative to the United Nations. Speaking at a UN Security Council briefing on the International Criminal Court's (ICC) work in Libya, Dai emphasised that China's position on the ICC's work in Libya remains unchanged. The prosecutor's "roadmap for completion of the investigation phase" was mentioned, with the aim of transitioning into the judicial stage by the end of 2025.
