Baidu is considering a collaboration with Tesla to produce self-driving Robotaxis in China, according to Baidu's general manager of autonomous driving vehicle unit, Xu Baoqiang. The success of the potential partnership depends on Tesla's strategies and entry pace into the Chinese market. Baidu's robotaxi service, Apollo Go, is expected to break even by 2024 and become profitable in 2025.
