51-year-old Jason Tolonen from Westland, Michigan, pleaded no contest to sending harassing, racist, and threatening emails to Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Tolonen, who was charged with one count of using a computer to commit a crime and one count of malicious use of a telecommunications service, will be required to attend Alcoholics Anonymous, refrain from unwanted contact, and undergo mental health and substance abuse evaluations. His sentencing is scheduled for June 12.
