Walmart plans to cut corporate jobs, move remote workers to offices, and increase store automation.

Walmart plans to cut hundreds of corporate jobs and move remote workers to offices, according to a Wall Street Journal report. Employees in smaller offices in Dallas, Atlanta, and Toronto are being asked to relocate to central hubs, including Walmart's headquarters in Bentonville, as well as Hoboken or Southern California. The company will still allow part-time remote work, but employees must spend most of their time in offices. This move is part of Walmart's efforts to downsize its workforce, with expectations that around 65% of its stores will be serviced by automation by the end of fiscal year 2026.
