Ihor Potieria, a Ukrainian UFC fighter, appealed against his loss to Michel Pereira at UFC 301, claiming an illegal 'forbidden flying knee' should lead to the result being overturned. Potieria believes the knee struck his head during Pereira's eccentric backflip, which resulted in a submission victory for Pereira. The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) is currently evaluating Potieria's appeal.
