The Supreme Court of India has reserved its verdict on contempt proceedings against Baba Ramdev and Patanjali Ayurved's Managing Director, Acharya Balkrishna, over allegedly misleading advertisements by the ayurvedic company. The court has granted Patanjali three weeks to file an affidavit regarding the withdrawal of banned products and their advertisements, after noting that a full-page newspaper apology from Patanjali has been placed on record. The bench, consisting of Justices Hima Kohli and Ahsanuddin Amanullah, has dispensed with the personal appearance of Ramdev and Balkrishna in further proceedings.
