Two years after Chinese fast-fashion company Shein pledged to fix excessive working hours in its supply chain, a new report reveals that some employees at Shein suppliers are still working 75-hour weeks. A Swiss human rights advocacy group, Public Eye, interviewed 13 textile workers employed at six factories and found that staff worked an average of 12 hours a day. Shein had vowed in late 2022 to improve working conditions and hours at suppliers, but the new report claims that nothing has changed.
