Josh Rojas hit back-to-back foul pop flies in the first inning, both of which landed in the fan's hands in the left-field stands. The lucky fan held up the balls for a brief celebration before taking his seat. The Mariners went on to win the game 6-2, marking their second consecutive win against Oakland.
