Ørsted, Simply Blue Group, and Subsea7's joint venture, Salamander, submitted a 100MW floating offshore wind farm consent application off Peterhead, Scotland. Winning a bid in Crown Estate Scotland's Innovation and Targeted Oil and Gas leasing round, the project plans to focus on Scottish content for construction and operation. If approved, the project could contribute to the UK's goal of 5GW operational floating offshore wind by 2030.
