New Zealand's Defence Minister, Judith Collins, has appointed Air Vice-Marshal Tony Davies as the new Chief of Defence Force, effective June 6. Davies, a career officer in the New Zealand Defence Force since 1984, will serve a three-year term and be promoted to Air Marshal. Previously, he has held various leadership roles, including Vice Chief of Defence Force since 2018.
