Japan approves $900M loan for Indonesia's 2nd subway line in Jakarta, to be built using Japanese technology.

Japan has approved a $900 million loan for Indonesia to construct the second subway line in Jakarta as part of a project to improve the capital's transport system. The new 84 km long East-West branch line will be built using Japanese technology in two stages, with the first one scheduled for 2026-2031. This marks the continuation of Japan's assistance for Southeast Asian countries in developing transport systems.
