Intel appoints semiconductor industry veteran Kevin O'Buckley as head of services for its contract chip-making business, Intel Foundry Services. O'Buckley aims to expand Intel's foundry business to compete with industry leader Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing and reports to Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger. His predecessor, Stuart Pann, retires after 35 years at Intel but will stay on as an advisor.
