3 contractors in NSW, Australia, have been charged for allegedly stealing over $1 million worth of copper from construction sites and selling it to unauthorized scrap metal merchants. The trio, aged in their 40s and 30s, have been accused of removing copper cabling during a three-month police investigation. Police allege that the three men were involved in the theft of over $2.5 million worth of copper since February, with $200,000 in stolen copper seized during a raid on a scrapyard in Ingleburn, Sydney.
