Bruce Springsteen paid tribute to the late Irish singer, Shane MacGowan, of the Pogues by performing "A Rainy Night in Soho" during a concert in Kilkenny, Ireland. Springsteen had visited MacGowan in the hospital last May, and after his passing in November, he shared that MacGowan was "one of my all-time favorite writers" and that his music was "unmatched by all but the very best in the rock and roll canon."
