Germany's inflation rate in April 2022 remained at 2.4%, the lowest since May 2021, according to final data from Destatis. Food prices rose by 0.5% annually, while energy prices decreased at a slower pace, falling 1.2% in April compared to 2.7% in March. Core inflation, which excludes food and energy, moderated to 3.0% in April from 3.3% in March. EU harmonised inflation rose slightly to 2.4% from 2.3%.
