25-year-old man jailed for six years for rape and sexual assault of sleeping friend in Cork. The woman, who woke up to find the man attacking her in her family home, read her victim impact statement in court and stated she walked into a church and asked God to take her in the aftermath of the attack. The accused was convicted by a jury following a trial and had no previous convictions.
