49-year-old Fabian Griffin from Wichita, Kansas has been sentenced to over 12 years in prison for the 2017 incident involving the unsafe handling of a weapon that resulted in the death of a teen, Casey Lawrukiewicz. Griffin pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in November 2022. The judge also ordered a $5,000 restitution to the Kansas Crime Victims Fund for Lawrukiewicz's funeral costs.
