AMD remains the partner of choice for 156 of the top 500 supercomputers; a 29% increase YoY. AMD's Alveo V80 compute accelerator card targets HPC and compute-intensive workloads with up to a 2X increase in HBM bandwidth, now shipping. The Intel-powered Aurora supercomputer, built in collaboration with HPE and the US Department of Energy's Argonne National Laboratory, has broken the exascale barrier, becoming the second machine to achieve this milestone. It is now also the fastest AI supercomputer on the planet.
