A rare brown giant panda was spotted in Qinling Mountains, Shaanxi province, China, marking the 11th sighting of this extremely rare subspecies. The brown panda was filmed on January 17 by an infrared camera at 1,500 meters altitude in Changqing National Nature Reserve. First identified in 1985 in the same location, all documented photos of wild brown pandas have been taken in this region.
