Russia claims capture of five villages in northeast Ukraine, forcing over 1,700 civilians to flee, as Moscow continues its ground assault in the region. Russian forces have targeted more than 30 towns and villages, resulting in casualties. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has not confirmed the capture of the villages, which lie in a contested area on the border of Ukraine's Kharkiv region and Russia.
