Regina's Pride parade excludes Saskatchewan Party legislature members due to recent name/pronoun legislation for minors.
Regina's Pride parade organizers have barred Saskatchewan Party legislature members from participating in the June event, citing the province's recent legislation requiring parental consent for children under 16 to change their names or pronouns at school. As a result, Queen City Pride will not hold a flag-raising ceremony at the legislature for Pride month and will not allow Saskatchewan Party MLAs to "masquerade" as supporters.
