Nigeria's NDLEA intercepted 3.45 million opioid pills and 344,000 codeine syrup bottles worth billions in Lagos, arresting three suspects.

Nigeria's National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) intercepted three trailer loads of opioids containing 3.45 million pills and 344,000 bottles of codeine syrup in Lagos State, worth billions of naira. The drugs were found in two 40-ft container trucks and a 20-ft truck at the AML bonded terminal. Three suspects, including warehouse agent Cosmas Obiajulu and drivers Ridwan Balogun and Banjo Tayo, were arrested in connection with the seizure.
