On 10 May, the US Coast Guard in the Pacific Northwest rescued two people and a dog from the water near Oregon's coast, 2.5 miles east of Tongue Point. After their boat capsized, one person was hoisted by Air Station Astoria, and the other along with the dog were rescued by Coast Guard Station Cape Disappointment. Both individuals were transferred to Emergency Medical Services for further care.
