Genting Malaysia Bhd shares rallied, becoming Bursa Malaysia's top movers, due to Genting Singapore Plc's 10-year high Q1 earnings.

Genting Bhd and its subsidiary, Genting Malaysia Bhd, experienced a rally in their shares on early trade, becoming the top movers of Bursa Malaysia's barometer index. This surge was partly due to Genting Singapore Plc's earnings hitting a 10-year high in the first quarter of 2024. Genting Singapore's shares soared by 6.2% in heavy trading after their Q1 net profit nearly doubled compared to the previous year, with revenue rising by 61.9%.
