Eni plans to spin off high-potential projects in Indonesia and Ivory Coast to finance development and low-carbon activities via the "satellite model."

Eni, the Italian oil and gas company, plans to spin off high-potential oil and gas projects in Indonesia and Ivory Coast to finance its development and focus more capital on low-carbon activities. This strategy, known as the "satellite model," involves splitting some of Eni's operations into separate entities and raising money from investors such as private equity firms and infrastructure funds. This approach aims to provide additional funding sources for both traditional and green products, according to Chief Financial Officer Francesco Gattei.
