8 Assam Police personnel in Dhemaji district fell ill after consuming wild mushrooms.

8 Assam Police personnel fell ill and experienced vomiting & diarrhoea after eating wild mushrooms in Dhemaji district on Sunday. The officers from the 22nd battalion stationed near Panbari, along the Assam & Arunachal Pradesh border, consumed the mushrooms for lunch and sought medical help immediately. All were later declared out of danger; one critical case was admitted to the ICU.
