21,000+ New Zealand secondary teachers will attend regional meetings from 13-24 May to address concerns about the return of charter schools and the government's stance on Te Tiriti o Waitangi. The meetings, organized by the Post Primary Teachers' Association (PPTA Te Wehengarua), will discuss the government's plans to divert funds from public education to charter schools and the union's role in affirming and advancing Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
