A wanted felon, Jesse J. Jones, was arrested in Hanover, Illinois on May 11th, 2024 after a standoff involving multiple law enforcement agencies. Jones, who had warrants from Jo Daviess County and Grant County, Wisconsin, was located at a building on W. Blackjack Road. After numerous attempts to persuade Jones to surrender, chemical munitions were deployed and a K-9 unit was used to locate and apprehend him. Jones is currently held at the Jo Daviess County Jail.
