Fire at electrical/plumbing business in Bathurst, N.B., led to evacuations; fire controlled, evacuation order lifted.

A fire at an electrical and plumbing wholesale business in Bathurst, N.B., forced the evacuation of some homes and apartments on Ste. Anne Street. The fire, at Eddy's, is under control but remains active, with the evacuation order lifted as of Sunday morning. Bathurst Mayor Kim Chamberlain urged residents with air quality concerns to visit the Pavilion Gymnasium on St. George Street.
