5000 complaints filed against New Zealand's Ministry of Social Development for poor client handling, including a case of insensitivity towards a woman with support dogs.

The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) in New Zealand received nearly 5000 complaints related to MSD staff's poor handling of clients seeking help over the past two years. Sue Taylor, a 57-year-old woman who lost her rental, faced insensitivity from MSD staff when they informed her they could not help her due to her two support dogs. MSD claims that the complaints are a small portion of the number of interactions they have with clients.
