87-year-old Jon Urbanchek, an influential swimming coach and International Swimming Hall of Famer, passed away. He led the University of Michigan swimming program to national titles in 1959 and 1961, coached at the Olympic level from 1988 to 2004, and helped train Olympians Michael Phelps and Allison Schmitt. Known for his "color system" innovation, Urbanchek was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2008.
