42-year-old Lawrence man Shawn A. Daniels was sentenced to 18 months in prison for aggravated assault after breaking into his neighbor's apartment, stealing items, and pointing a gun at them. On Jan 23, police were called to the apartment complex, where Daniels had threatened residents and entered another resident's apartment. District Attorney Suzanne Valdez emphasized the importance of feeling safe in the community.
