Former MLB infielder Sean Burroughs, a 1998 first-round draft pick, tragically passed away at the age of 43. The San Diego Padres selected Burroughs, who also played for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Minnesota Twins. He starred on the mound and at the plate while leading his Long Beach Little League team to consecutive Little League World Series wins, and won a gold medal with Team USA during the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.
