A police officer has been shot in the leg with a crossbow during an incident in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, after responding to reports of a man suffering a stab wound. A 54-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after being shot by an armed police officer. The injured officer has since been released from hospital.
