President Zelensky appoints Oleksandr Trepak as new commander of Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SSO).
President Volodymyr Zelensky appoints Brigadier General Oleksandr Trepak as the new commander of Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SSO), replacing Colonel Serhii Lupanchuk. Trepak has served in the SSO since 2008 and was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine in 2015 for his role in the defense of Donetsk airport. This marks the second time Zelensky has changed the head of the SSO in six months.
