South Bruce signs a $418 million hosting agreement with NWMO for Canada's spent nuclear waste, set to pay out over 138 years in six funding streams. The Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) is expected to choose a host site by the end of 2024. The agreement lays out benefits and responsibilities for South Bruce, should it be chosen as the site for Canada's first deep geological repository (DGR).
