Soldier Amit Singh shot dead by father-in-law Doulat Ram in Reasi district, Jammu and Kashmir due to matrimonial dispute.

A soldier was shot dead by his father-in-law in a matrimonial dispute in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district on May 11. The soldier, Amit Singh, was allegedly shot by his father-in-law, Doulat Ram, who is a Village Defence Guard member. Ram found out that Singh had assaulted his wife over a long-standing marital issue, which led him to open fire, causing critical injuries. Both Singh and his wife were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
