The Chinese firm Avatar built the plant, which produces 4,000 metric tonnes daily, and Canmax Technologies, a renowned Chinese firm responsible for over 30% of global battery material production, has announced a new $200 million investment for another lithium processing plant in Nasarawa State. Tinubu has expressed his intent to make Nigeria a hub for solar panel and electric vehicle battery manufacturing in Africa.
