Pakistan's Cabinet Committee on Privatisation (CCOP) has approved the privatisation of 24 state-owned enterprises (SOEs), both loss-making and profitable, as part of the Privatisation Programme (2024-29). The CCOP plans to limit the federal government's involvement to strategic and essential SOEs, while prioritising the privatisation of loss-making entities. The Ministry of Privatisation will phase each entity's privatisation in consultation with respective ministries.
