Oklahoma City Public Schools appoints Dr. Jamie Polk as new superintendent, succeeding Dr. Sean McDaniel.
Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) has named Dr. Jamie Polk as their new superintendent, following the resignation of Dr. Sean McDaniel. Polk, currently the Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Education, has 33 years of education experience. She will take office on July 1, 2024. The school board praised Polk's accomplishments, including removing 11 schools from the "F" list and retaining skilled educators.
