New York Judge Francis Ricigliano has struck down Nassau County's ban on female transgender athletes, stating that Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman did not have the authority to issue the February executive order, which denied park permits to any women's and girl's teams, leagues, or organizations that allowed female transgender athletes to participate. The Long Island Roller Rebels, a local women's roller derby league, challenged the order.
