Michigan's historic Dutch Girl Donuts reopened after closing in 2021 due to staffing shortages. The popular donut shop, located on Woodward Avenue, was purchased by third-generation funeral director Paddy Lynch, who is serving many of the old recipes with the help of Jon Timmer, the son of late owners Gene and Lauren Timmer. Dutch Girl first opened in 1947 and has been a staple in Detroit.
